Warranty, Returns & Exchange Policy
Please review these terms carefully before purchasing, installing, returning, or requesting an exchange for any part from Southside Auto Recycling.

1. Warranty Coverage & Exclusions
- All mechanical parts come with a limited 30-day warranty from the date of purchase unless an extended warranty is purchased or provided by the store and shown on the original invoice.
- Warranty terms may be 30, 60, or 90 days depending on the part, price, or store conditions.
- Electrical parts, items sold as “extra sale,” “miscellaneous,” or “as is” are considered final sale and carry no warranty.
- The warranty is valid for exchange or store credit only on the purchased part, if applicable.
- Warranty never covers labor, repair costs, installation costs, towing, storage, rental car expenses, or related costs.
- The original invoice must be presented for any warranty claim. Duplicates, copies, or pictures will not be accepted.
- The warranty is void if the part is broken, tampered with, missing pieces, missing store marks, or if heat tabs are missing, blown, or altered where applicable.
- The warranty is void if the part is installed improperly or if pre-installation procedures are not followed.
- If the customer wishes to disassemble the part, store approval must be obtained first. Disassembly without approval automatically voids the warranty.
- Drive-trains and components are sold with drained fluids. The customer is responsible for replacing fluids and exterior components at their own expense.
- Metal/aluminum sheet cuts are sold as-is, cannot be returned, and will not be refunded.
- The customer assumes all responsibility for damage to any purchased part while it is in their possession.
- If a core charge applies, the customer must return their core within 15 days of purchase to qualify for a core charge refund. Failure to comply may affect warranty recognition.
- Deposits older than 30 days are not covered or recognized.
- Parts not picked up before the warranty period ends will not be recognized.
- Mileage information may be provided if requested, but it may come from different sources and may not be exact.
- The customer agrees to all terms as a condition of purchase.
- The store reserves the right to refuse any return or exchange request that does not meet these conditions.
2. Shipping Policy & Information
- All shipping costs and fees paid are non-refundable.
- The store does not reimburse shipping charges because shipping is paid to a third-party carrier.
- The merchant is not responsible for damage caused to the product or pallet during shipment.
- If merchandise is damaged during shipping, the customer must provide all possible information so a claim can be filed. The merchant is not responsible for the outcome of the claim.
- The customer must inspect merchandise upon delivery and report any damage or discrepancies to the shipping company and the merchant within 48 hours of receipt.
- Failure to report shipping issues within 48 hours may result in claim denial by the shipping company and/or loss of warranty assistance.
- The customer must provide accurate and complete shipping information. Any delays or extra charges due to incorrect information are the customer’s responsibility.
- The merchant reserves the right to choose the shipping carrier and method. Special requests may generate additional fees.
- If returned merchandise is received, inspection may take 1 to 3 days.
- If the merchandise qualifies under warranty, an exchange may be sent, but the customer is responsible for all shipping costs related to the return and replacement.
- If a refund or exchange is requested, the customer is responsible for shipping the product back and for shipping the replacement if applicable.
3. Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
- All returns, exchanges, or refund requests must be made within 30 days of the original purchase date.
- After 30 days, returns, exchanges, and refunds will not be accepted unless a longer warranty period is shown on the original invoice.
- If a part includes extended warranty coverage, it must be returned before that extended warranty period expires.
- If a product is defective, the store may exchange the part or provide a refund if a replacement is not available.
- If you receive a defective product, contact the store immediately for return instructions.
- All sales or refunds are subject to a 25% restocking fee to cover labor and employee costs. This fee is non-negotiable.
- Returned or exchanged parts must be in the same condition as received.
- If the part is broken, tampered with, missing pieces, disassembled, or missing store paint marks, the warranty is void and no refund or exchange will be given.
- For engines and transmissions, heat tabs must be intact, and original paint marks, hardware, and wiring must still be present.
- All sheet metal/aluminum cuts are sold as-is and cannot be returned or exchanged.
